Holsome Park

Holsome Hideaway

Holsome Hideaway is nestled in a small woodland next to one of our meadows in the heart of the South Hams, an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Devon countryside. Enjoying unspoilt panoramic views to Dartmoor, ideal for watching stunning sunsets!

Our bespoke shepherd hut is designed as a romantic countryside escape for two. We have tried to think of everything to make your stay with us completely relaxing, indulgent and memorable. We have added lots of little extras – so from the moment you arrive you can unwind and enjoy peace, privacy and beautiful countryside.

The interior is finished beautifully throughout with a fully equipped kitchen with complementary tea and coffee, breakfast bar and smart TV. The under floor heating will keep you extra cosy in the chiller months. In hot summer months the natural wool insulation keeps the hut lovely and cool.

The super comfortable, king size bed will give you the most wonderful night’s sleep with 400 count Egyptian cotton sheets and luxury duvet. The ensuite bathroom is perfectly equipped with a rain fall shower and all the essentials, including the fabulous ‘Made by Nature, Bottled by Bramley’ range of products.

Our heavenly  and irresistible, British made wood fired hot tub is a treat at any time of day, but especially romantic under the stars. The hares that play in the paddock may even drop by to say hello! The hot tub will be heated for your arrival and will just need a few logs for the next day to warm it up again.

Our fire pit full of rustic charm has a grill plate if you wish to BBQ – and there is a bistro table and chairs set which you can either use on spacious decking or down around the fire pit.

On our doorstep is the Avon Valley with its excellent footpaths and Dartmoor, which can be seen in all its glory from Holsome Hideaway. Just a short drive from us is the beautiful South Devon coastline which has many wonderful beaches including Bigbury Bay, Bantham, South Sands, Blackpool Sands, Soar Mill Cove, and Slapton. The National Trust’s properties including Saltram House, Overbecks, Greenway (Agatha Christie’s summer home), medieval Cotehele and Buckland Abbey (home of Sir Francis Drake) are just a hop, skip and jump away too!

We are available at all times for any help or recommendations if wanted, but otherwise you will have complete privacy.
